SIGEN 2+ Signal Transmitter Drain Kit Details
The SIGEN 2+ Signal Transmitter Drain Kit consists of the SIGEN 2+ Signal Transmitter, a Carry Bag, and a 5-metre Sonde (33kHz). There are four SIGEN 2+ Signal Transmitter Kits available.
Please see the descriptions below for further information regarding the items included in the SIGEN 2+ Signal Transmitter Drain Kit.
SIGEN 2+ Signal Transmitter Description
The SIGEN 2+ Signal Transmitter can be used with cable and pipe locators capable of receiving 33kHz signals, such as S2 and V2 TOMKAT Pipe and Cable Locators, to find, trace and avoid pipes and cables. This allows drainage contractors to carry out work safely, effectively and more efficiently.
The SIGEN 2+ Signal Transmitter is constructed from high-impact ABS and has an IP rating of 54, making it suitable for use in rugged, wet, outdoor environments. This instrument has also been CE tested.
Also adding to this instrument’s practicality is its extensive operating time: the SIGEN 2+ Signal Transmitter is supplied with eight fitted AA batteries capable of providing it with up to forty hours of continuous power. The absence of an audible tone indicates that the batteries have expired and require replacing.
Further to this, the SIGEN 2+ Signal Transmitter is supplied with an earth stake, connection leads, and a manufacturer’s calibration to ensure reliability and functionality.
Additionally, the SIGEN 2+ Signal Transmitter includes an isolated transformer allowing it to be connected to mains supplies via a 3-pin plug connector (max mains rating: 230V AC), expanding its scope-for-use.
The SIGEN 2+ Signal Transmitter features two modes of operation, Induction and Connection, as well as high- and low- volume and power outputs, allowing the user to tailor the instrument to the application. The user can change from a low-power output to a high-power output at the flick of a switch in order to determine a familiar, continuous tone.
Furthermore, the high-volume output also allows the user to establish a better connection tone; whilst the low-volume output makes the SIGEN 2+ Signal Transmitter suitable for use in quiet environments.
The SIGEN 2+ Signal Transmitter is an accurate and adaptable tool suitable for locating and avoiding buried services, thereby decreasing strike rates and allowing drainage contractors to perform maintenance work safely, effectively and efficiently.
